Common GEES Teaching Resources

November 5th, 2009

When we first started looking at the  teaching materials that were to be released by the partners for the OER, it quickly became obvious that there were a large number of images and diagrams in our materials  that had been taken from the resources of other Institutes, Organisations and Publishing houses.

Some of these organisations have already released their teaching resources on free-to-use copyright licenses, whilst others such as some  publishing houses may well wish to protect their property vigorously.

We thought it would be useful to start a working document that kept a record of all the resources of teaching materials within GEES  that have been used by the partners in their teaching materials. We could then also note what the approach of each organisation was to OER with any successes or problems that we have encountered.

Hopefully this list will allow us to keep an overview of all the possible resources and what their approach to OER is.  As this list builds up it should be a help to us, those undertaking the copyright clearance and the  rest of the GEES community.

The latest version of the MS excel spreadsheet is available here: GEES Resource Organisations 2a

Please do have a look at the list and send me any feedback that you have to update the table.
